Quantum Nexus is a long-form tower defense on a single winding path. Enemies march from the bottom of the map to the Citadel at the top, and you build on the pads beside the path. There are five towers: the cheap Cannon, the Disrupter that hits everything around its target, the long-range Arc Cannon, the Cryo Gate that slows, and the heavy Pulser. Kills pay credits, which buy new towers or take a tower up to tier three. Fourteen kinds of enemy join as the waves climb. Phantoms and hunters shrug off the cold. Swarmers and hydras burst into smaller copies. Wardens come armoured. From wave 12, saboteurs shock your towers slow, and from wave 21, demolishers fire a missile at a tower on a countdown you can see and hear. Every fifth wave ends with a titan you will hear coming. Every ten waves the board changes colour and the soundtrack picks up speed. The run ends when the Citadel falls.
How to play
- Enemies walk the path from the bottom of the map to the Citadel at the top. Each one that gets there damages it.
- Click or tap a pad beside the path to open the build menu, then pick a tower, or press Q, W, E, R or T.
- Kills pay credits. Select a tower to take it to tier two and three, or sell it for half of what it cost.
- Every fifth wave ends with a titan. New enemy types keep joining, and every ten waves the board changes colour.
- Enemies carrying a ticket or a gold charge orb pay out when they die. Ten charge orbs set off a Supercharge that quadruples tower damage for eight seconds.
- The run ends when the Citadel falls.

Scoring
Every kill scores ten times the credits it pays, and the score also rises for every second you hold. Tickets come from ticket carriers, every wave you clear, every titan you kill and every 25,000 points.
Tips
- Build where the path turns: a tower on the inside of a corner covers two stretches of path.
- Cryo Gates slow everything except phantoms, specters and hunters. Put a Disrupter next to one: its splash hits the whole slowed pack.
- Save for the titan. It has many times the health of anything else in its wave and hits the Citadel for 15.
- Listen for a demolisher: three beeps and the missile flies. Kill it first, or the tower under the reticle loses a tier.
- A tower with a yellow ring has been shocked and fires slowly for a few seconds. Spread your defence so one saboteur cannot slow all of it.
