Void Gate is a one-button climb up a machine shaft. Every gate opens and slams on the beat of the soundtrack: jump while the blades are open, clear them, and land on top as they shut. Jump late and the blades slice your bar shorter; jump into a closed gate and the run is over. Clean passes build a streak up to x5, and landing just as the blades meet under you is a close call worth more. Every ten gates a new phase changes the colours and the key of the music, the blades get faster and the timing gets tighter. Gates start holding shut for an extra beat, and from phase IV some gates fake you out with a stutter before the real close. Tickets and charge orbs sit in your path; five charges set off a supercharge that smashes every gate you touch.
How to play
- Tap, click or press Space to jump. The bar jumps from the floor it stands on.
- Jump while the gate is open so the bar is above the blades when they shut, then land on top.
- A late jump slices off the part of the bar still inside the gate. A jump into a closed gate ends the run.
- Listen: the gate clock ticks while a gate is shut, and a snare marks the moment to jump.
- A gate whose lamp blinks amber will stutter shut and reopen before it really closes.

Scoring
Each gate scores ten points per percent of bar you still have. Clean passes multiply that by your streak, from x1 up to x5; a slice pays x1 and resets the streak. A close call adds half again, and every tenth gate adds 2,000. You pick up tickets in the arena, and score milestones, time played and every x5 streak pay more.
Tips
- The first three gates light a green lamp while a jump would be clean. Learn that moment, then listen for the snare.
- Count the ticks: the high tick means the gate opens on the next beat; an extra tick means it is holding shut.
- In later phases the clean window starts as the gate cracks open, so jump on the opening, not after it.
- A blinking amber lamp is a fake-out. Let it stutter and reopen, then take the real close.
